Generation Motivation came out in support of the St. James UMC Community Cancer Walk, with a donation and volunteer effort. The event was part of their commitment to bringing awareness to not only breast cancer, since it was during breast cancer awareness month, but also help raise funds for a cure for all types of cancer. There were vendors, guest speakers, food, a DJ and the signature 3K Community Cancer Walk.
This was my first time participating in a cancer walk and it was great to see all those that came out to support. It just shows there is strength in numbers and with continued awareness, education, dedication and faith, a cure is going to be found.

Webster-Parks of St. James UMC and she spoke of her personal commitment, as well as the church's commitment to continue to highlight issues such as this in order to keep them at the forefront of our hearts and minds.
